After so many years, I finally understand a perplexing story~
I've had this book for ages ( since my primary skul years),
over and over again have i read it, but a piece seems to be missing everytime.
So finally, as i was re-reading it today,
i googled it and found the missing piece.
"The legend of Tam Lin"
After i read that confusing ballad,
i finally realised that>>
Thomas was Tam Lin
Polly was Janet
and Laurel was The Queen of Fairies.
Every 7 years, someone must be sacrificed to Hell,
since Polly came out from her dream 9 years ltr, i don't rmb who was sacrificed b4...but i suppose they don't follow the 7 year rule.
So Laurel wants to sacrifice Thomas and erases Polly's memory to keep her out of her way,
her next target is Seb and Morton wants Seb to go to Laurel to save his own skin but Seb clings on to Polly in order to save his own.
I know this is really confusing, but if you read the book, you'll understand what i'm talking about^^
